Near Seooreung in Goyang City, a small walking path exists. This walking path is frequented by those who have finished a simple meal after visiting the royal tombs. The owner of the building, situated at the starting point of the gentle walking path that people take after their meal to ascend lightly, wanted to refer to this large structure as "Oreum." Many people seek solace in nature when they wish to escape from the stark city and the weariness of daily life. Perhaps it's because nature constantly evolves, offering us new experiences and diverse emotions, instilling in us both reverence and comfort. Cafe Oreum has encapsulated the desires of its clients and unraveled the brand's story, aiming not just to be a café but also a cultural space where various experiences that one can feel in nature are available. The word "Oreum" encompasses the sense of ascending a small mountain, experiencing sensory experiences, emotions, and the changing scenery.

We listened attentively to the woman's story of studying painting and enduring loneliness alone in a foreign country at a young age. When we received the painting named ‘ Mureungdowon’ which means ‘ Paradise’ in East Asia, we realized anew the value of art. D-SCAPE represents the desire for it to become a Dreamscape, a space resembling a pleasant dream.

Office Building. On the one hand, office buildings are expected to create comfortable and personal workspaces, on the other hand, to represent the company’s identity. We thought we could use a series of walls, everyday objects that we face and surround us, as the essential element for the design of the office building. We have created a response to the context, architecture form and construction, the emotional expression of the facade, and sensation within the space by using simple methods such as building, hanging, blocking, and opening walls.

This space consisting of interior space and exterior terrace with an area of 297㎡ perspectively, is located between tall buildings. At sunset, the interior space is transformed into a monotonous terrace while the setting sun presents a magnificent view through the gap between the buildings surrounding this space. The design of this space which leads to the exterior terrace area along with two bent windows began from the thought that the inside and the outside should not be interpreted as different spaces.

The White Curtain Reveals Its Presence in the City. The site is surrounded by neighboring buildings on three sides and only one side is revealed towards the road. We designed a building that reveals its presence as a white curtain in the urban setting. Within the building, a café and multi-family housing coexist, and inevitably, hierarchy of lessor and lessee is created. By incorporating a white-curtain-like façade, we tried to alleviate the spatial and visual hierarchies to express a welcoming gesture to visitors and residents.
