Terada House is an annex built on a vacant lot next to the existing house. It is a new home for the client and his family (his wife and two children). Due to the limited buildable area, the building was designed within a 7.28m x 7.28m plan based on the standard module of wood structure.

There was the building site on a gently sloping hill.It is land for sale by the lot made by recent land adjustment here.The land carries the mountains on its back in the north side and has the rich scenery which can overlook city in the south side.However, it was hard to feel the characteristic of the land because it was a residential area lined with houses here.Consideration to the privacy for the neighborhood was necessary in a design here because it was a residential area.

The concept proposal for Vietnam’s Pavilion at Expo 2015 in Milan focuses on mixing settlement and settled agriculture to create the future’s space – the space where settlement and settled agriculture include each other. Titled the Pavilion of dream terraces (field), the building by H&P Architects is created from steel structure frames, which have a large amount of modules – the longest one being 7.5m - that are connected by simple joins or overlapping. Normally, We make a plan in rural area that have large land compare with urban. It tend to make us feel small about the site in scenery. Therefore, we have to think borderless architectural style that well matched around it. We felt serene from its atmosphere when we saw the surroundings first. Although here is residential area, there are some vacant land and sounds quiet. In the north from the site, we can see large paddy field. Also, the mountain range extended western and eastern in the distance. For a local people, these are familiar site but it's so beautiful and can not help feeling generous nature. We thought we have to make a plan that harmonize each other house and sight. To do so, we tried to remove the border between inside and outside. By encountering architecture and nature, I tried to find the possibility to bring out both attraction.
