The “L’Artesà” theatre is located in the heart of the town of Prat de Llobregat and was built in 1919 according to the project of the architect Antoni Pascual i Carretero. It was in operation until 1988, the year in which it closed its doors to the public, remaining in disuse until today. This fact led to the consequent deterioration of the construction, with the exception of the bar and the garden that have continued their activity to this day.

The property occupies an art nouveau building of the Eixample district of Barcelona and was fully renovated by CaSA and Margherita Serboli to become the holiday apartment for an Italian family. The original layout wasted considerable space and was poorly orientated. Its longitudinal distribution, forced by the transversal bearing walls, resulted in many densely separated small spaces, spared along a long corridor that isolated the two ends of the apartment.

Situated in Parc dels Torrents one of the best urban interventions in the city of Espluges, the "Espai Baronda" complex, has arisen from the recovery of a piece of authentic "architectural archaeology"; an old ceramics factory which fell into disuse more than two decades ago, in a city like Esplugues, with such a deep-rooted tradition in ceramics.

Rocha Apartment / CaSA

The brief was to transform this neglected, very badly distributed apartment into an attractive holiday home. The property is located in an extremely central street, right between Plaza Catalunya y Plaza Universitat, on the sixth floor of an art nouveau building. Nonetheless, this last floor was built in the ’60 and lacked of the charm of the rest of the building.
