With a plot by the sea, the challenge was to privilege the view from the whole house, using a quick construction based on concrete and metal structure, the open environment integrating the interior with the exterior in order to perceive the terrain as a unique space.

Block House / ES Arquitetura

Designed to be a low cost house, but with rooms and refined concepts regarding the distribution of the spatial functions and the visual aspect, the Block House was conceived as a ground-floor residence with an eastern conception. The use of concrete and wood blocks, without external coatings, crudely exposed on their essence, is part of the design concept intention. The whole project was planned with sophisticated but simple solutions at the same time, based on the easy execution and follow-up in the work site.

The project was born from a different and very peculiar interview: - "I would like that the house has music, feeling, wood, air, fire, water, light, path, search. And it was also an icon that represente something innovative. "- Developed from its conception by a group of professionals from different areas, the project and the work of House 01 was developed with sustainability premises, trying to prove that one can build in a Rational, minimizing environmental impacts, transforming an object of living into an example object of change of habits in the construction and the use of the residence.

Mundaú is a fishermen’s village in an immense beach in the state of Ceará, in Northeast Brazil. 3º 10’ 42.51” South of the Equator, years are split in wet and dry seasons, with temperatures ranging from 22ºc to 33ºc. Heavy rainfall from January to July ensures a fertile ground where vegetation flourishes until December.
