With the purpose of bringing culture to the country's most vulnerable populations, Colombia's Ministry of Culture proposed building music schools in several municipalities across the national territory to promote and strengthen the musical richness of our folklore, as a commitment to nurturing children's talent and keeping them away from armed conflict. Consequently, it launched a national public architecture competition to design a prototype school that could adapt to available lots in different municipalities, responding appropriately to the country's diverse geographical, climatic, and cultural conditions.
