The house is located in the Eldorado neighborhood, an area of urban expansion in the city of Alto Paraíso de Goiás, in the Chapada dos Veadeiros. It is an area that, despite being close to the urban core, is still characterized by the presence of preserved native Cerrado vegetation.

The Cavalcante region (GO) is home to Brazil's largest quilombo, the Kalunga community. The quilombo preserves immense cultural wealth and has persisted in the area for over 300 years, with its territory only being recognized in 1991 when the state of Goiás enacted the law establishing the Kalunga Historical Site and Cultural Heritage. However, the site holds significant tourism potential and attracts the attention of many large landowners due to the value of the land, while also facing threats and attacks from the expansion of agribusiness. Another concern is the threat posed by large-scale developments in the area.
