De Nederlandsche Bank (1968) is located on the historic 'Utrechtse Poort' site close to Amsterdam's canal belt. Until 1929, this was the location of the Paleis voor Volksvlijt (Palace of Industry), designed by Samuel Sarphati, which was destroyed by fire that same year. Sarphati's vision – uniting culture, economy, entrepreneurship, and science in one place for all people – was revolutionary at the time. De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) is the independent central bank of the Netherlands, committed to financial stability, a smooth and secure payment system, and the supervision of financial institutions. The DNB building, designed by architect Marius Duintjer, was modern and functional. However, it was not embraced by the people of Amsterdam, who found that it was unapproachable and contrasted with the historic architecture of the city centre. For the complex – consisting of a low-rise, square-shaped building (110 x 120 metres) and a 73-metre-high office tower – Duintjer drew inspiration from the mid-century modern architecture of Mies van der Rohe and SOM found in the United States. At the time, the design was pioneering due to its minimalist lines, restrained use of materials, and transparency. However, that sense of transparency was soon lost due to security requirements; the building became a fortress with fences, large boulders, and armed military police. In 1991, a circular tower was added in the courtyard, and a third floor was placed atop the low-rise square. With the decision to relocate the gold reserves and banknote operations to the Cash Centre in Zeist, the opportunity arose to transform this heavily secured and overdue-for-renovation building and open it up to the greater public in a more engaging way. The circular tower was no longer needed and could be dismantled in a modular manner.

A new identity is being established for Helvetia in the center of Basel, situated strategically between Aeschenplatz and the historic St. Alban quarter. Completed in four stages, three new buildings and three renovated buildings will form a campus with a distinctive, clear, and recognizable expression of the Helvetia brand. This unified appearance is supported by an understated, predominantly white architecture at the scale of the city block; at a larger scale, two towers – one renovated, one new – create a clear identity amongst the mainly low-rise immediate surroundings. The project provides working space, gathering places, and amenities for all Basel-based Helvetia employees, while the café, Art Foyer, roof terrace, and auditorium are open to the public for daily and programmed use. A spacious public park in the center of the Campus block connects the buildings to the existing green boulevard of St. Alban-Quarter while opening the campus to the city.

E-Isolation, located in the city of Miki in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, is the first public testing and research facility in the country that is equipped with a full-scale seismic isolation testing system capable of using a measurement method that is the first of its kind worldwide. The facility has been built to enhance earthquake-preparedness measures and develop practical seismic isolation systems in Japan, one of the world's most earthquake-prone countries. With its capability to evaluate the performance of seismic isolation devices, E-Isolation provides an open space where structural researchers, designers, general contractors, manufacturers, building owners, and others can get together. This project has been implemented as a collaboration among industry, academia, and government in order to strengthen Japan's resilience to earthquakes.

House of Olives is a building intended for the Association of Olive Growers of Montenegro as an administrative and educational center. It is also conceived as a meeting place for tourists and devotees of olive fruit products. The available location, the project program, the specific configuration of the terrain, the historical core of the fortified city and the vernacular architecture from the surroundings were noticed as the material from which the original spatial assembly could be composed. The architectural expression is realized according to the principle of group form creating a space rich in visual sequences. All this is related to the existing urban fabric and the traditional setting of the old town courtyards, composed of several buildings that build a mutual functional and aesthetic whole. The design solution is a composition of roofs combined with flat parts. The yard is covered except for a circular opening that allows growth of the olive.

While a bank is a space with a clear purpose, the gap in waiting that is in the process often feels long and boring. Everyone has picked up a number of tickets and experienced a long waiting time. The design of the Hana Bank's Seoul-forest branch was focused on reinterpreting this daily experience. Indiesalon has proposed a space where customers can go beyond just banking and turn their waiting time into moments of relaxation and contemplation while appreciating the lively view of Seongsu-dong. It creates an open and elegant indoor ambiance through a waiting space that captures the city's scenery with wide windows, and bank windows that are wrapped in soft curves, and through a parabolic roof structure that is connected very upward. We make Hana Bank Seoul-forest branch suggestion to be financial space's new standard as a modern shelter that everybody can rest.

They are pursuing their businesses in areas that are directly related to the topic, such as photovoltaic panels or robotic agriculture, and are die-hard fans of electromobility. From our point of view, there was no doubt that using a solid wood panel construction was the right decision. The BudexHUB office building reached the maximum height limit in the Czech Republic and was completed in the second half of 2024 as the tallest Czech wooden administrative building.

On the west coast of Middle Africa, Senegal is by the Atlantic Ocean to the west and the Senegal River borders the country to the east and north. The capital city of Senegal, Dakar is located at the westernmost tip of the country on the Cap-Vert peninsula. The congress center first opened in November 2014, for the 15th Francophone Assembly where 75 world presidents met. Typical geography and natural values have been the inspiration for the project. Extraordinary, characteristic Baobab trees of Senegal are distinctive with their enormous girth. Their massive trunks can grow to circumferences of 25 meters or more. Their second distinctive feature is great longevity. Baobabs have lived well over a thousand years, so they have been important landmarks in Senegal's dry savanna plain; in oral histories, baobabs are cited as loci of battles, or as marking borders between states. Many of these historic trees have been classified as historic monuments by the Ministry of Culture.

The orthogonal form of the plane plays off of the typologies present in the surrounding urban fabric, which is characterized by manufacturing plants.
Biju Janata Dal has been Odisha's dominant political force for over two decades, championing inclusive development and harnessing the power of the state's people for transformative change. The party’s ethos of inclusivity and regionalism permeates the design of its new headquarters in Bhubaneswar. Originally planned as a five-story structure, the studio proposed a more humble three-story volume to maintain a strong connection with the street and citizens while accommodating all functions.

Since its foundation in 1394, Seoul has transitioned from an agrarian society to a full-fledged industrialized megacity. Within this 600-year transition, it was the 20th century that saw the most drastic urban change due to a process of industrialization. During its colonial period under Japanese imperial rule (1910–45),Yeongdeungpo, southwest of the Han River, was developed with heavy military infrastructure. This laid the groundwork for this area to transform into Seoul’s largest industrial zone after liberation from Japan. Other industrial areas around Seoul followed, yet, as of 2021, only seven major semi-industrial zones in Seoul remain. They account for 3.3 percent of the city’s total area but are essential to its industrial economy.

The Houston Endowment headquarters has been thoughtfully designed to be the center of a network, equally a meeting place for members of the community and for the distribution of resources and expertise back to the community at large. The headquarters was imagined to have an anchoring quality in a transient city, a measure against the significant urban transformation that has followed the restoration of the Buffalo Bayou and the surrounding neighborhood.
