Natural metal skins bonded to a polyethylene (PE) or fire-retardant (fr) core create the look and aging characteristics of solid sheet metal – without the expense, weight, fabrication difficulties or instability. There’s simply no reason to specify sheet metal anymore when you can get the same effect with all the advantages of ALPOLIC® metal composite materials. Copper composite materials develop a weathered, green-tinged patina over time, while Zinc composite materials are pre-treated to produce an elegant matte patina that blends perfectly with most building materials. Stainless steel and titanium composite materials offer the ultimate in corrosion resistance for a naturally enduring look.
· CCM: 0.016" copper skin bonded to both sides of polyethylene (PE) or fire-retardant thermoplastic (fr) core
· ZCM: 0.020" pre-weathered grey zinc skin bonded to both sides of fire-retardant thermoplastic (fr) core
· SCM: 0.016" stainless steel skin bonded to both sides of fire-retardant thermoplastic (fr) core (mechanically brushed finish stock; custom dull and polished finishes available)
· TCM: 0.016" titanium skin bonded to one side and 0.016" to the reverse side of fire-retardant thermoplastic (fr) core
Sustainability begins with our own manufacturing processes, maximizing the use of recycled materials while maintaining the highest standards of product quality. Our PE core products – the finest available architectural panels of their kind – contain virtually 100 percent recycled materials. We also actively work to reduce our energy consumption, reduce the raw materials used in all our product lines, and capture production waste for reuse or recycling.
Sustainability endures in the buildings that feature our products. The Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC) requires an SRI value of 29 or greater for steep-slope roofs to earn a “Cool” rating, and many of our Architectural stock colors meet this requirement. We provide the Solar Reflectance Index for all architectural stock finishes to help you make the best choice for energy efficient, sustainable architecture. We also provide LEED Contribution Data Sheets to help you calculate the credits your building earns toward LEED certification for sustainable architecture.
Sustainability comes full circle with our Operation Encore program. Operation Encore makes it easy for you to recycle ALPOLIC® materials when buildings are renovated and re-clad. ALPOLIC® materials are virtually 100 percent recyclable, and through Operation Encore we’ll accept used materials, separate them, and place the components in the appropriate industry recycling streams.
