The project creates a flexible living and working environment where users can sleep, eat, work, and relax in a light-filled, nature-connected space. The mini-home emphasizes overlapping interior zones, volumetric simplicity, and a playful form reminiscent of a child’s drawing of a house. Key design features include a bright, communal kitchen, a warm, opaque rest area, and a tree that grows through some rooms, highlighting the integration of architecture with nature to promote sustainable habitats.
Efficiency Poplar was specified for walls, floors, and interior finishes due to its lightweight, stable, and easy-to-machine qualities. The 100% European poplar plywood provides durability, a warm aesthetic, and sustainable performance, supporting both the modular construction and environmental goals of the project. Its use enhances acoustic and visual comfort, making the space versatile for multiple creative activities while maintaining a natural, inviting atmosphere.
