Lamberts manufactures profiled glass solutions designed for durable, high-performance architectural applications across façades and exterior building envelopes. In the Guggach condominium development in Zurich, Lamberts Prismasolar glass plays a central role in shaping the project’s architectural character, supporting both functional performance and aesthetic expression.
Designed by BS + EMI Architektenpartner AG, the Guggach residences occupy a prominent site between Zurich’s city center and the rising flank of Käferberg. The development is composed of two elongated volumes—seven and eight stories—that anchor this transitional urban zone between forest and street. The architecture emphasizes the project’s metropolitan identity through both its massing and its carefully choreographed outdoor spaces.

Cast-glass facades, positioned against a dark background, create a dynamic interplay of light and materiality. The surfaces echo the vertical rise of the adjacent woodland while also presenting an intentional artificiality that shifts between weight and dematerialization. Reflecting pools extend these effects into the landscape, mirroring the facades and reinforcing the development’s atmospheric qualities.
Inside, the apartment layouts use a cross-shaped plan that enhances openness and brings daylight in from multiple directions. This approach ensures that both morning and evening light penetrate deep into the living spaces. Together, the planning, facade treatment, materials, and outdoor design form a highly coherent architectural language that links urban living with the surrounding natural context.
Lamberts prismasolar ornament glass is essential to the building’s distinct facade expression. Its prismatic surface texture captures and refracts daylight, generating subtle shifts in translucency and reflection throughout the day. Set against the dark backdrop, the glass reinforces depth and verticality while maintaining resident privacy. With strong durability and stable long-term performance, it supports the project’s environmental and functional needs, contributing to the seamless dialogue between interior spaces and the broader site.
