Parallel Architectural Products is comprised of a team of experienced industry professionals who specialize in providing top-quality wood-look aluminum solutions, made in the USA.
Aluminum screening and shade systems from Parallel were used in the development of Electric Pickle, a pickleball and dining venue located in Arizona, USA. The project required materials that could balance durability, aesthetics, and functionality in an environment exposed to constant activity and high heat.
The project combines pickleball courts, a restaurant, and social spaces into one dynamic venue. Designed to accommodate families and competitive players, the project demanded finishes that could withstand daily impact, sun exposure, and moisture while maintaining an upscale look.
The design team chose Parallel’s aluminum screen system for its strength, lightweight construction, and visual appeal. The system provides protection and shading around the courts while integrating with the landscape architecture and the general masterplan.
The selected Pacific Kwila finish adds warmth and natural character to the outdoor environment, enhancing the contrast between the wood-look aluminum elements and the surrounding concrete and steel structures. Beyond aesthetics, the screens offer acoustic benefits, while the powder-coated and sublimated finish ensures resistance to warping, fading, and corrosion.
By combining durability, low maintenance, and refined design, the Electric Pickle project highlights how Parallel aluminum systems are perfectly suited for modern hospitality and recreational spaces where aesthetics and endurance must work hand in hand.
