More about this product

STRUGAL is a manufacturer of innovative architectural solutions focused on improving the efficiency and comfort of spaces. NUA Arquitectures has rehabilitated a building on the Costa Dorada that had been unused for over a decade, transforming it into a complex of 27 tourist apartments. The design features STRUGAL S64RP GALA aluminum joinery, which meets technical requirements for insulation and efficiency while adding an aesthetic and chromatic dimension that enhances the project's identity.

The architects chose to preserve the existing structure, giving the building a new purpose after it had served as a residence, hotel, and nursing home. In addition to reusing the original framework, the design showcases a traditional ceramic brick envelope with natural and green-glazed finishes. This creates a dialogue between the historical memory of Salou and its contemporary urban landscape. STRUGAL's aluminum joinery integrates seamlessly into the architectural concept, resulting in a coherent and modern composition.

Ceramic façade with STRUGAL aluminum joinery integrated into the rehabilitation of 27 apartments in Salou

The rehabilitation project incorporated high-performance joinery using the STRUGAL S64RP GALA hidden sash system. This system is designed for projects that require clean lines, refined aesthetics, and high technical performance. It was installed in operable balcony doors and fixed windows, ensuring uniformity while maximizing natural light entry. The hidden sash design allows the frame to blend seamlessly with the interior surface, making only the glass visible from the exterior. This approach achieves visual continuity and a minimalist appearance.

The textured RAL 6021 finish, a pale green applied to profiles, handles, and hinges, adds a fresh look and reflects natural light, enhancing the harmony with the green ceramic façade. This design choice transforms the joinery into a key feature that is both technical and aesthetically pleasing. The system includes a thermal break made from polyamides and offers optional polyolefin foams, providing high levels of thermal and acoustic insulation. This ensures interior comfort and reduces energy consumption.
