Located in the revitalized Kai Tak district, Oasis Kai Tak is a residential development designed to be a green sanctuary within the dense urban context of Hong Kong. With nearly one-third of the site dedicated to landscaped areas, the project emphasizes liveability and sustainability while integrating nature directly into daily life. The development provides a model for high-rise living that prioritizes health, light, and community connection.
As part of the site infrastructure, Jonite provided engineered stone trench grates for both light-duty and vehicular applications. These systems support efficient drainage across pedestrian walkways and shared access zones while maintaining a consistent material expression throughout the project. Their stone-like finish complements the landscape and hardscape design, ensuring visual integration alongside durability and safety.
The grates were supplied in collaboration with CFLink, Jonite’s exclusive distributor in Hong Kong, who worked with the design and construction teams to meet performance and sustainability requirements. The trench grates contribute to the project’s wider vision of urban sustainability by balancing functional infrastructure with a refined aesthetic suitable for high-density living.
