Stonetech is a Greek company specializing in the quarrying, processing, and trading of natural stones, including marble and other engineered surfaces.
Natural stone from Stonetech was applied throughout the InterContinental Resort Crete, located in Agios Nikolaos, Mirabello Bay, Crete, Greece. The project employs a material-driven approach that connects interior and exterior spaces through natural finishes, clarity, and proportion.
The resort overlooks Mirabello Bay in eastern Crete and references the textures and tones of the surrounding landscape. The architectural concept uses natural stone to support a calm and coherent environment, with surfaces considered as parts of a broader composition. Finishes and formats were coordinated for performance, maintenance, and visual continuity across public areas, guest zones, and wellness facilities.

Stonetech manufactured, supplied, and installed all marble applications. Honed Didimon Dark was used for interior floors and a bar top; while a ribbed application clads the lobby reception desks to introduce vertical texture. In spa and hammam areas, Aliveri Grigio appears in ribbed textures at the spa reception desk and in honed and sandblasted finishes across wet zones, walkways, and terraces, balancing tactile quality with slip resistance and weather tolerance. In bars and restaurants, Parnon Marble provides a contrasting veining character, distinguishing social areas while maintaining material continuity.
The result is a cohesive material language that enhances the architectural clarity of the resort. Through this careful orchestration of marble varieties and finishes, the project integrates a refined curation of materials into a contemporary hospitality experience.
