Schenker Storen develops and produces a wide range of sun and weather protection products for both indoor and outdoor areas. The Maison Davidoff building in Basel, designed by Diener & Diener Architekten, is characterised by an organic façade that curves in different directions. Schenker Storen developed specially shaped convex Venetian blinds that adapt to the complex geometry of the façade.

Requiring a tailored functional sun protection solution, Schenker Storen developed several customised special blinds, some of them by hand, to follow the curves of the building. These blinds seamlessly integrate into the architecture while allowing for efficient regulation of daylight and heat. They enhance the building's energy efficiency without compromising its architectural aesthetics. The chosen materials and colors were selected in close collaboration with the architects to ensure a harmonious overall appearance.
