More about this product

A-Light is a manufacturer of high-performance architectural luminaires designed to elevate contemporary spaces with visual precision and minimal forms.

A-Light’s A4 and B4 luminaires were featured in the Midwest Cancer Center, also known as the Wright Street Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, USA. Designed by healthcare specialists Altus Architectural Studios with lighting design by Fox & Fox Design, the project brings together architectural clarity and lighting comfort to support patient wellbeing.

In this outpatient facility, lighting plays a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere. Within the interior waiting areas, 16-ft long A4 arcature4 direct/indirect luminaires were installed along exposed structural beams. Each fixture was mounted using precision-milled offset blocks above groups of lounge chairs positioned near the large banks of windows. These fixtures provide a balanced mix of uplight and downlight, enhancing both architectural structure and occupant experience.

A-Light’s B4 arris4 luminaires were custom-cut and color-matched to the mullions, then secured to the interior window frames along the full expanse of the façade. Positioned high above the patrons, they deliver subtle, indirect illumination that gently brightens the space.

Additional B4 fixtures were mounted on the opposite interior walls to provide warm, ambient glow during nighttime hours. The thoughtful integration of these luminaires contributes to the building’s comforting design language, an approach that earned the Midwest Cancer Center recognition as one of the “Top 20 Most Beautiful Hospitals” by Soliant in 2009.
