Sound-Absorbing Lamps in Residential Project | OLEV

Olev lighting is designed and made in Italy to imitate sunlight and cast a natural-feeling ambiance in any space. Exagon Silence Green, Exagon Silence Biolight and Tiny lamps were used in Biosphera Equilibrium residential project in Italy.

This project aimed to create a sustainable housing option that is small but comfortable. Passivhaus worked with researchers, professionals, companies and universities to design mobile, energy-efficient housing units in the most innovative way.

One issue that a small, open-plan residence such as this presents is noise. Olev's Exagon Silence Green and Exagon Silence Biolight suspension lamps were installed due to their sound-absorbing abilities. The Biolight also replicates the sun's natural cycle, improving well-being and sleep quality. Tiny built-in ceiling lamps were chosen to illuminate the residence thanks to their simple, inconspicuous design.
