Elevate has a 40-year legacy of proven experience in roofing solutions that perform reliably and protect communities. The V-Gard range of Vapor Control Membranes is designed to be used as a vapor control layer in Elevate's roofing systems. Vapor control layers (VCLs) primarily serve to control the moisture migration through the roof assembly, eliminating the risk of moisture build-up from condensation and ensuring the thermal performance of the insulation. Elevate's Vapor Control Membranes provide air tightness, assisting in controlling energy losses, and efficient installation processes for diverse types of roofs.
V-Gard Vapor Control Membrane
It consists of reinforced aluminium foil with self-adhesive bituminous backing protected by a release film. The fiberglass reinforcement provides high strength to the membrane, which guarantees mechanical performance. This reinforcement also makes it resistant to foot traffic and suitable for applications that involve high mechanical stresses.

V-GardTM ALU 1500 High Performing Vapor Control Membrane
The Elevate V-Gard ALU 1500 vapor control membrane is designed to be used as a vapor control layer in Elevate roofing systems where insulation is either mechanically attached or loosely laid. It consists of reinforced aluminium foil with a hot-melt adhesive backing protected by a release film. The UV-stabilized polymeric reinforcement provides high strength to the membrane, guaranteeing an excellent mechanical performance. This reinforcement also makes the membrane resistant to foot traffic during installation.
The strong adhesion of the hot-melt backing eases installation and offers good self-adhesive seaming performance. This, together with the UV-stabilized polymeric foil surface of the V-Gard ALU 1500 membrane, provides temporary protection to the substrate, based on certain conditions. V-Gard ALU 1500 can be applied over metal and wooden roof decks.

V-Gard™ PE Competitive Vapor Control Foils
Elevate’s range of V-Gard PE vapor control foils is designed to be used as vapor control layers in Elevate roofing systems where insulation is either mechanically attached or loosely laid. These foils are made from Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) and come rolled, and properly protected. They can be used on all common substrates, even at low temperatures. With panel sizes up to 6 m x 50 m, up to 300 m² can be covered with a single roll, reducing the amount of seams.
The V-Gard PE 200 and V-Gard PE 400 foils contain a high percentage of recycled materials, reducing their environmental impact while remaining easily recyclable. Their anthracite colour also provides additional UV protection.
The V-Gard PE 200 E foil meets Class E classification according to the EN 13501-1 standard, making it suitable for projects with higher fire safety requirements. It is available in a translucent green colour, crafted from high-quality granules.
V-Gard PE foils can be left exposed during installation, keeping their product properties unchanged. When required, the V-Gard PE vapor control foils can be seamed with the V-Gard PE Seam Tape.
