The Palazzo Conti Calloni is a stunning 19th-century architectural masterpiece designed by the renowned architect, Alessandro Antonelli. Originally a print shop, it has since been transformed by architect Fabio Fantolino into a private residence for a family of four, featuring Flexform furniture as part of the architectural renovation.
The design of the new residence focuses on creating an intimate yet luxurious space that blends well with the existing architecture. The living areas and bedrooms are designed fluidly, overlooking a private garden and creating a cohesive visual narrative. The use of different materials such as concrete with laminate, marble with rare wood, and the meticulous attention to detail, gives the design a distinct character.
Flexform's iconic Happy Hour armchairs, with their metal structure, enveloped in saddle hide and tobacco-color leather cushions, create cozy and comfortable reading nooks that attract the attention of the users. The Brig side table with its curved lines and Calacatta Gold marble complements the design perfectly. In the expansive living room, warm earth-toned seating arrangements stand before a signature bookcase, typical of Fantolino's bespoke designs. The Evergreen sofa, wrapped in rust-color velvet, is a great visual element to the room, as well as other Flexform pieces clad in various shades of brown.
Fantolino's use of color further elevates the design, with a palette ranging from petrol green to burnt brown and cream, evoking a sense of timelessness. Furnishings such as wall paneling and kitchen cabinetry, all crafted to the architect's designs, reflect his 1970s influences. The dining room has a Gipsy table with a Canaletto walnut structure, while the kitchen, located within the neoclassical part of the building, captivates with its herringbone parquet floors and rich green cabinets. Throughout the residence, Flexform's pieces have been integrated into the renovation project of this Turin Residence.
