Custom Marble in One & Only Aesthesis Resort | Stonetech

The One & Only Aesthesis resort in Athens is a hospitality project with cladding and finishes provided by the Greek company Stonetech, which specializes in exclusive Greek marble for large-scale projects. The resort is set on the site of a 1950s beach club. The new complex's design takes inspiration from the modern architecture of the time and the local design culture and materials, such as the Greek marble provided by Stonetech.

The hotel is structured around the original footprint of the original Asteria Beach Club, with a continuous overlap of interior and exterior communal spaces, defined by the main building, sitting atop the hills and surrounded by gardens.

One & Only Aesthesis covers 278.000 m2 plot of land with 2.2 km of coastal line, in the heart of the Athens Riviera. Greece's first city beach resort offers 128 ultra-luxury residences (suites, villas, and rooms) with pools and private gardens.

The slatted exterior is inspired by traditional Greek claustras (screens), which allow for privacy and a filtered flow of light and air.

The resort’s residences are spread around the man common areas, on the footprint of the original beachfront dwellings. The expansive outdoor areas connect with the layouts of the residences through sliding glass doors that connect with the gardens and the pool.

The marbles from Stonetech in shades of pearl white and sand were combined with local timbers on stone walls and slatted timber roofs.

The Blue Danube granite panels were used on countertops and dressing rooms, while Gascoigne stone slabs served as flooring. The jacuzzis are clad in Verde India marble, also used in the pool tiles. Finally, all vanity countertops and sinks are clad in Crema D’Orcia marble.
