Laminated Scantlings in Minho Hotel | Siero Lam

Siero Lam is a leading European manufacturer of chestnut wood and other high-quality wood products, prioritizing customer service and circular economy principles. Siero Lam's laminated scantlings, wooden lattices, and wood cladding were used at Minho Hotel, located in Nova de Cerveira, Portugal.

Portuguese architectural studio Virgula I renovated a hotel in Vila Nova de Cerveira using local Iberian sweet chestnut wood, adding warmth and character to the space. The extension, named 'Hotel Minho', prominently features sweet chestnut wood both inside and outside, visually connecting different areas and providing a cozy contrast to the existing plain white walls. Sweet chestnut boards clad some areas, while wooden slat ceilings are incorporated into the design.
