KLEIN^® solutions were installed in one of the most recent 5-star hotels developed in Johannesburg, South Africa. Although it follows the exclusive style of other Houghton hotels, the group continues to include unique features within the private spaces.

Interior Space

The hotel suites stand out due to the amount of natural light that enters the spaces. The interior design includes glass partitions that are adaptable allowing the user to change the space to best suit them. The partition is installed around the bathroom allowing one to create a private space or incorporate the bathroom space into the main room.

Partition Solutions

To achieve this KLEIN^®’s telescopic sliding EXTENDO system was used as the dynamic partitioning instrument. The Extendo Corner allowed the designers to create a defined bathroom space. The structure includes 4 frameless corner-installed sliding glass panels that are held in place by invisible upper-pressure clamps. The clamps are installed in a recessed drop ceiling. The system works synchronously as when one panel is moved, the rest follow. This creates an easy operating system that is stored to the side without any floor tracks.
