More about this product

Bandalux has been manufacturing high-end curtains and blinds since 1986. Premium Plus roller shades from Bandalux were used in the transformation of a modernist office building into a mixed-use project in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Studioninedots worked on an existing building, the Westerpark Industry and Trade building designed by Ae. G. and J.D. Postma in 1964, and turned into a mixed-use project housing apartments, collective facilities, and workspaces.

The facade was carefully designed, using prefabricated modules and slowly changing scale providing great dynamism for energy efficiency reasons. The dark colors allow the building to stand for itself in its surrounding.

The Premium Plus roller shades from Bandalux were added to the students' bedrooms to improve comfort and provide privacy. They were combined with a Touch BO for its woven textile aesthetic in contrast with the industrial design of the building.
