More about this product

Vanceva gives architects and designers creative freedom by producing a broad spectrum of colors for laminated glass. The Color PVB Interlayers from Vanceva can be mixed to create over 170000 transparent, translucent, or opaque colors for the desired tone and intensity. Vanceva Color PVB Interlayers were used for the sidelight windows of the Cooke School in New York, United States.

The Cooke School and Institute, set on Madison Avenue and tucked between public housing apartments, is awash in jewel tones that glow through the building’s colored glass sidelights that frame its abundant bay windows. Although smaller in scale than surrounding buildings, the Cooke School makes a big impression with its creative use of glazing, and its huge bay windows add movement to the building’s facade.

The colored glass sidelights with Vanceva interlayers framing the windows add jewel tones to the facade and coordinate with walls and floors, enabling students to identify their classroom, even from the outside.

The Vanceva colors used in the Cooke School were Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, and Blue.

This project won an honorable mention at the 2022 Vanceva World of Color Awards.

Vanceva interlayers are created with light-stable colorants to stay vivid for a long time. Color laminated glass made with Vanceva can block up to 99% of damaging UV radiation up to 380 nm, and reduce solar heat gain.
