In the third phase of Belmont University's Performing Arts District, the new multi-use theatre uses panels from FabriTRAK as interior finishes on the walls. The theatre building has been designed in a classical style by Earl Swensson Associates following a classical style, it contains an auditorium for an audience of up to 1700, two recital halls, rehearsal space, and a grand lobby.
Acoustic performance and comfort were important requirements within the performance spaces, so ensuring the right materials and finishes were used was paramount. The architects selected FabriTRAK® systems both for their functionality and aesthetic appeal. The panels are finished in royal blue, suiting the classical aesthetic. The stretch panels and walls assist with noise reduction in the lobby space and the right acoustic performance in the theatre, recital halls, and rehearsal space.
FabriTRAK® is a rigid vinyl framework that provides a method for using fabric as an interior architectural finish for walls and ceilings. FabriTRAK® is made and designed to embrace virtually any wall or ceiling space or configuration and the system lends itself to application on undulating walls, portals, or columns.
