Rigid Board Insulation - Thermax™ Sheathing | DuPont

The DuPont Thermax™ product line is a systematic approach to achieving efficiency at every level: simplified design, streamlined construction and optimized energy consumption for a reduced carbon footprint.

DuPont Thermax™ Sheathing is engineered for both concealed and exposed applications. It is an easy-to-use nonstructural rigid insulation board with a fiberglass-infused foam core that helps improve fire performance and dimensional stability.

Thermax™ Sheathing consists on a a glass-fiber-infused polyisocyanurate foam core laminated between 1.0-mil smooth, reflective aluminum facers on both sides. It is a multipurpose, nonstructural, rigid board insulation, easy to install in a wide range of exposed and concealed cavity wall applications. The glass fiber reinforcement contributes to improved fire performance and dimensional stability.

Used in conjunction with the appropriate joint closure system for the application, Thermax™ Sheathing can help to reduce moisture condensation within and behind the insulation with its low perm rating.
