A recent face lift of the Town School, New York uses Glazing Vision's Flushglaze fixed multipart skylight to bring natural daylight into a dark corridor space.
Approached by Yoshihara McKee Architects, Glazing Vision was asked to offer a solution to bring light within a staircase and corridor that also met the required standards and specifications. The solution was a modular multisection glass skylight system. Aluminium elements were used at the joins to ensure it could take loads for maintenance and possible objects that might fall from other buildings.
Glazing Vision's ability to offer custom skylights to design the required solution, made their skylights best suited for the project. A total of 9 sections of the Flushglaze skylight were installed, with the aluminium frame work designed to line up with the steel beams below. Glazing Vision's CAD team provided full shop drawings and had their project managers attending several site meetings to ensure the installation ran smoothly.
