Conference Chair - Occo | Wilkhahn

The Occo Conference range from Wilkhahn is recognized for its spacious, molded plywood seat shells, that come with extra foam padding. Created by designers, Markus Jehs and Jürgen Laub, the Occo range is designed for the table and chairs to beautifully coordinate with one another, combining versatility and customization.

Concept and Form

The Occo range gets its name from the characteristic shape of the seat and backrest. View from the from, the chair resembles an "O" shape, while when viewed from the side, its profile resembles a "C" shape. The shape of recesses in the back and sides have been designed both for comfort and practicality. The chairs can easily be stacked (when paired with the four-legged metal frame base). The seat itself is very rigid, but the back offers flexibility for comfort due to its shape and the different thicknesses of the material.

Versatility and Customization

You can select between six frame types for the base of the chair:

• Four-legged chair in metal
• Four-legged chair in solid wood
• A four-star base on glides
• A five-star base on castors
• Models with die-cast aluminum star bases that are either matte polished, bright chrome-plated, or coated in black or white with a textured matte finish

In the interests of seamless solutions, active rocking technology turns the task chair with its four-star base on glides into a dynamic conference chair and extra height adjustment in the model with a five-star base on casters into an office chair.

For the chair's shell, Wilkhahn offers a choice between three types of cushioning and six shell colours:

• Orange-red
• Black
• White
• Grey
• Grey-beige
• Blue-grey

Matching Table Range

The matching table range can be paired with the chairs. The Occo range is suitable for spaces with the intention of having attractive, customized design concepts, where variety is desired while still wanting a consistent and clear design language.
