BŌK Modern’s patented Bolt-On Balcony can be described as game-changing for several key reasons: it requires no hangers, no additional steel framing, no welding, and no cantilevered members. Perhaps its’ most important feature: these balconies are quick and simple to install. Like all BŌK products, their Guardrails are available in a wide selection of metal panel types and are easily installed.
The Bolt-on Balcony is designed so that one trade is able install our balconies; fewer trades on the job site means lower installation costs.
Traditionally, one trade builds the framing and installs the brackets, another trade waterproofs, another trade installs a finished floor, and finally another trade installs the guardrails; all adding time to completion and expense.
With the Bolt-On Balcony, after the brackets are installed, the exterior wall is waterproofed and finished and then the entire balcony assembly is installed.
Unlike other hanging balconies, BŌK’s system does not require unsightly hangers and is all aluminum so reduces the cost of heavy steel framing. Balconies are pre-engineered in a 5’x 8’ footprint on buildings up to 60’ tall in both Aluminum and Corten. Other configurations and building heights can be accommodated with engineering.
The Bolt-on Balcony has a unique water management system built into the floor boards the redirects water away from the building and off lower-level balconies.
Customization
BŌK’s Bolt-On Balcony is available in painted aluminum and Rusted surface (Cor-ten) steel and can be laser cut in an infinite array of patterns. Our beautiful Bolt-On Balconies are self-contained. No additional metal or decking is needed. Wood tile flooring option available in teak and walnut
