More than a traditional museum building MAXXI the Italian center of contemporary art and architecture, designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, is an example of a new cultural space. The museum was built in the Flaminio district of Rome in the long-disused area of the former Caserma Montello. It is a world where visitors can immerse and lose themselves thanks to spaces that are always varied and full of surprises.
Inside, a multitude of spaces illuminated by natural light, house various functions. The full-height hall serves as a reception that introduces visitors to the auditorium, the galleries with permanent collections, exhibitions, the cafeteria, and the bookshop.
Cafeteria and Book Shop Furniture
In the cafeteria and the book shop, furniture by Lapalma is incorporated with sophisticated simplicity. AUKI upholstered lounge chairs create groups of three small lounging systems, where visitors can relax and share the experience of the visit; the MIUNN stools accompany the suspended counters that extend through the space. With their lightness, the OLO chairs are the ideal complement to the tables in the cafeteria area.
