Fusing Japanese woodworking techniques with Scandinavian design sensibilities, ferm LIVING's Oblique Stool is made for low seating. The Oblique Stool is made of solid FSC™-certified oak panels intersected at oblique angles. The Oblique Stool can be used to elevate objects when used as a display for books or vases and a storage area for taking off shoes in a hallway.
Design Concept
The ferm LIVING line of furniture and lighting fixtures is designed and crafted within the Danish design tradition. The interior furniture is made with sustainable and natural materials, produced for everyday use. The ferm LIVING collection of furniture includes tables, sofas, chairs, tables, and shelving systems.
The Oblique Stool is inspired by Japanese craftsmanship, made with few and simple elements that, when combined, form a sculptural piece. The Oblique Stool is suitable as a magazine stand, side table, or stool for the children. The stool introduces a sense of levels to any room and can be used in a range of spaces.
