Elevate’s ISOGARD HD cover board is a 12.7 mm thick, high-density, closed-cell polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam core laminated on both sides to a mineral-coated fiberglass facer.
In cases where roofs receive frequent foot-traffic, mineral wool insulation runs the risk of being crushed, or the facer adhesion of plastic foam insulation can be affected. In contrast, ISOGARD HD spreads the load and improves the protection of the insulation boards underneath. It combines impact resistance, ease of installation, and is used as a recovery board over the existing roofing system, therefore can be used for refurbishment projects.

ISOGARD HD boards are also very environmentally friendly because of their composition of mold-resistant material that does not support the growth of damage-causing fungi and bacteria. The boards are manufactured with a 100% fiberglass, mold, and moisture resistant facer and contain more than 9% of post-consumer and post-industrial recycled combined content. The foam technology uses an HCFC-free blowing agent with a low GWP (Global Warming Potential) and zero ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential).
