Uponor's Thermally Activated Building Systems (TABS) provide cooling and heating of ceilings through water pipes that are embedded in structural concrete slabs. TABS can satisfy the basic cooling and heating loads of larger buildings to maintain a consistent and comfortable indoor climate. TABS is integrated into the ceiling surfaces and used for heat transfer, creating a noiseless system.
During the summer months, the ceiling will re-cool at night and absorb heat during the day, creating a productive cycle of warmth and cooling throughout the structure. Uponor's TABS is a low energy consumption system, allowing for energy-efficient use and reduced maintenance costs.
