Solar facades from SolarLab invisibly integrate on-site energy production in the skin of the building and replaces both traditional facade cladding and unattractive rooftop PV installations. The custom-designed solar facades offer design freedom to select panelisation and mounting geometry as well as color, finish, and texture.

The Copenhagen International Schools custom solar facade has 12.000 identical panels providing around 50% of the schools energy needs. Each panel is tilted just 4 degrees and randomly rotated to provide the dynamic facade. The nano-coated and anisotropic colored cladding provides 160Wp of installed effect per square meter of facade and thanks to the satinated finish it is self-cleaning and glare-free.
