Designed to be a surface-applied version of Kryton’s award-winning integral waterproofing admixture, Krystol T1 is perfect for repairing concrete structures that are vulnerable to heavy water exposure. Whether that involves resolving the leaking of above or below-grade surfaces for marine structures or containment sites, Krystol T1 can repair the damage and help the concrete of those structures resist hydrostatic pressure.
It can be applied to the wet or dry side of concrete, and once applied, Krystol T1 will give the treated concrete the ability to chemically react to nearby water and unhydrated cement particles to form interlocking crystals. These crystals then fill up the pores and micro-cracks in the concrete, allowing the concrete to self-seal up to 0.5-mm crevices. That in turn blocks any pathways for water and waterborne contaminants.
That isn’t a one-time benefit either. The Krystol technology within Krystol T1 will remain dormant and only initiate crystallization when moisture is introduced to the area. As a result, Krystol T1 will work to protect the treated concrete structure with a lifelong ability to block out water and waterborne contaminants with interlocking crystals.
It’s a way to effectively repair concrete with heavy water exposure while providing it with permanent waterproofing protection at the same time.
Krystol T1 is used in both recently poured or decades-old concrete. It is the ideal surface applied waterproofing system for foundations & walls, elevated slabs & ramps, parking structures, water tanks & bridge decks.
