Designed to be a surface-applied version of Kryton’s award-winning integral waterproofing admixture, Krystol T1® is perfect for giving concrete structures a climate-resilient repair against water ingress. Whether that involves fixing the leaking of above or below-grade surfaces for marine structures, water containment sites, or other concrete structures in need, Krystol T1 can repair the damage and help those structures resist light or heavy hydrostatic pressure permanently in a sustainable way.
Using technology that is designed to protect the positive or negative side of concrete without the need for VOCs, Krystol T1 provides any concrete it treats with the ability to chemically and safely block out any nearby water. It does this by giving concrete technology that can react in the presence of water and unhydrated cement particles. This reaction forms interlocking crystals, which fill up the concrete’s pores and micro-cracks. That in turn blocks any pathways for water and waterborne contaminants. It also ensures that the treated concrete can self-seal up to 0.5-mm crevices.
That isn’t a one-time benefit either. The Krystol® technology within Krystol T1 will remain dormant and only initiate crystallization when moisture is introduced to the area. As a result, Krystol T1 will have lifelong protection from water and waterborne contaminants.
It’s a solution that effectively repairs concrete under light or heavy water exposure while providing it with permanent waterproofing protection at the same time.
