The Rodruza brick collection from Nelissen is manufactured from a range of different clay types that give each their distinct color. The bricks are available as a non-perforated facing brick and are available in “wasserstrich” (not sanded, with smooth surface), “moulded” (sanded, with smooth surface), or in “handmoulded" (sanded, grained)

Instead of sanding, water is used to emphasize the natural colors of the brick. The baking of this brick is performed in a highly reduced atmosphere to obtain the natural color nuances. The color range is composed of the different nuances of brown. The color of this brick varies from white, grey, black, red, and orange to brown.

The Rodruza brick collection is available in 16 variations:

Super White - This brick is a uniform, extra white facing brick.

White - The brick is a uniform, white facing brick.

White Wasserstrich - The brick is a uniform, white facing brick.

Does Wasserstrich - Is produced from red clay. The brick maintains its original color by adding water instead of sand during the manufacturing process. The natural color range is obtained by baking the brick in a reducing atmosphere. The color shades vary from red-orange to brown with scattered dark tints.

Kleurige Klinker - Is produced from red clay with grey sand. The red shades are obtained by the homogeneous mixture of this clay with manganese dioxide. The natural color range is obtained by baking the brick in a reducing atmosphere.

Honte Wasserstrich - The orange color is obtained by its homogeneous mix with orange-baked clay from Germany. Instead of sanding, water is used to emphasize the natural colors of the brick. The baking of this brick is performed in a highly reduced atmosphere to obtain the natural color nuances. The color range is composed of the different nuances of brown. The color of this brick varies from red and orange to brown.

Alems Bont - The red shade is obtained by the homogeneous mixture of the red clay with manganese dioxide. The colour shades from red to dark red are obtained by baking the brick in a reducing atmosphere.

Pistache - The brick is a uniform, grey facing brick.

Pistache Wasserstrich - The brick is a uniform, grey facing brick.

Grey Wassertrich - The brick is a uniform, grey facing brick.

Grey Sintered - The Grey Sintered is a nuanced, grey brick. The color shades are obtained by applying a coal sintering on the facing brick.

Grey sintered Wasserstrich - The Grey Sintered Wasserstrich is a nuanced, grey brick. The color shades are obtained by applying a coal sintering on the facing brick.

Jeker Wasserstrich - The Jeker is manufactured from river clay, and the brown color is obtained by adding manganese. Instead of sanding, water is used to emphasize the natural colors of the brick. The baking of this brick is performed in a highly reduced atmosphere to obtain natural color nuances. The color range is composed of different nuances of brown.

Black - The brick is a uniform facing brick with a homogeneous deep black colour, with no colour shades. This raven black color is obtained by mixing it with black color shades.
