The Obscuro brick collection from Nelissen is available in 12 varieties.
The hand-moulded facade bricks (non-perforated) have five sand-covered sides and one side with possible oblong groove. The structure looks rugged with fine and irregular grooves in the sandy surface. The baking process takes place in a gas-heated tunnel oven under a slightly reduced atmosphere.
Grafit - The brick has a grey-brown base. The surface obtains a dark graphite grey colour as a result of adapted sanding treatments. The homogenous mixture of accurately predefined proportions of manganese oxide with pinkbaking lössial clay is responsible for the colour of the brick.
Nero - As a result of homogeneous mixing of maganese oxide with red-firing loam, the brick becomes a red-brown colour with a purple hue. The gentle colour hues vary from purple-brown to violet.
Bravo - By the homogeneous mixture of manganese dioxide with grey-red baking Löss loam, Nelissen Steenfabrieken obtains a red-brown brick. The brick has a surface with fine-grained sand and colours that vary from orange-brown to purple-brown brick with blue shades.
Muria - The homogeneous mixture of accurately predefined proportions of manganese oxide with grey-red baking lössial loam is responsible for the grey-brown colour of the brick. The colour ranges from mainly grey to dark grey.
Torba - The brick has a grey-brown base. The colour ranges from mainly grey to dark grey. Through sintering of the brick, the different nuances of colour are obtained.
Drago - By using different sand types a brick is created with colours that vary from light brown to purple-brown with blue shades. Through sintering of the brick, the different nuances of colour are obtained.
Dali - The homogeneous mixture of accurately pre-determined proportions of manganese oxide with grey-red baking clay is responsible for the dark brown colour of the brick. The shadings range from grey-yellow to red-brown to black.
Moreno - The homogeneous mixture of accurately predefined pro¬portions of manganese oxide with grey-red baking clay is responsible for the grey-brown colour of the brick. The colour ranges from dark grey to black.
Manganese Black - The homogeneous mixture of accurately predefined proportions of manganese oxide with grey-red baking lössial clay is responsible for the black colour of the brick. The colour ranges from mainly charcoal to pitch-black.
Ferro - The homogeneous mixture of accurately predefined proportions of manganese oxide with grey-red baking lössial clay is responsible for the black colour of the brick. The colour ranges from mainly charcoal to pitch-black with blue shades.
Luna - The homogeneous mixture of accurately pre-defined proportions of manganese oxide with grey-red baking lössial clay is responsible for the black colour of the brick. The colour ranges from mainly charcoal to pitch-black with blue shades. Through sintering of the brick, the different nuances of colour are obtained.
