Located in the centre of Prague in the Czech Republic, this renovated brick building is comprised of 34 apartments including luxury penthouses. Security and a high-quality access control system was a priority for this development with a solution designed to integrate 2N technologies with the Loxone home automation system.
The brief for this system was:
- Simple IP solution with options for extension
- Modern, high-quality design
- Integration with home automation systems
- Remote communication with delivery persons
- Easy installation and configuration
The result of this system was that the newly renovated complex gained an easily expandable and user-friendly access control system. Residents have simple and secure access to their own and communal areas, including the underground garages. The entire system oversees entry to all areas of the building and allows secure access by couriers to the parcel room. Using the 2N® Access Commander administration software, the building administrator can monitor and manage access control systems remotely. Another benefit was the easy integration of the access control system with a home automation system by Loxone. Convenient, secure and exclusive housing has been created for all the residents now living in this building in the very heart of Prague.
Four products from the 2N range were used to deliver this solution along with the Loxone Smart Home solution. Access control can be administered all at once using the 2N® Access Commander IP software;
2N® IP Verso - A 2N® IP Verso security intercom with a modern touchscreen display and NFC/RFID reader was installed at the building’s main entrance. The device took advantage of the intercom’s modularity and was applied exactly according to user requirements. This means that besides RFID cards, mobile phones can also be used as a means of identification to gain entry. All that users need for this is to install the 2N® Mobile Key application on a smartphone.
2N® Mobile Key - Users can gain access by pressing a button in the application or simply tapping the reader. Using the Touch Display module, visitors can select a name from the list or call a specific flat directly. The access control system also ensures secure access to the parcel room. Residents can let delivery persons into the building via the main door and then to the parcel room using the mobile application. A 2N® Access Unit with a multi-frequency RFID card reader was used for these doors in the residential complex.
2N® Indoor Compact - The system also includes 2N® Indoor Compact answering units, which have a minimalist design, tempered glass surface, and a 4.3" color display with intuitive controls. The answering units are connected to a doorbell next to the door of each flat and can switch between a camera in the intercom and an external IP camera at the entrance to the security-protected car park.
2N® Access Unit - Entry to the underground car park and communal areas of the building are protected by 2N Access Units with a multi-frequency RFID card reader.
