DassoXTR is a fused bamboo decking from House of Bamboo® with a remarkable hardness rating. Dasso uses a special, patented, heat treatment process that alters the hardness, dimensional stability, and durability of their bamboo decking to a level that exceeds the tropical hardwoods - usually used for decking - making it a superior choice for all exterior decking applications in both residential and commercial installations.

The bamboo decking boards come pre-oiled with Woca Oil, so they are ready to install without further treatment. Dasso employs an exclusive tongue & grooved end-matched system to attach the planks seamlessly together for quick and easy installation. They are locked into place with a clever, concealed stainless steel clip system without any visible signs of the clips to give a smooth, modern finish.

Fused Bamboo® is manufactured by a patented process, combining two stages of high heat. The first carbonizes the bamboo, removing all of the starch and sugar. The second then restructures the bamboo, reinforcing its natural strength characteristics. The modified bamboo strands are then fused together using phenolic resin – the same resins used to make bowling balls.

The result is an extremely dense and durable exterior-use product composed of 87% natural, fused strand bamboo fibers and 13% resin. The resins used are thermal set and non-reversible, which means they do not release fumes into the atmosphere. Fused bamboo decking does not contain volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
