BIPV railing from Mitrex features an integrated solar thin-film technology. They are manufactured in a customized manufacturing facility that rapidly creates high-quality high-tech solar integrated products.
It is a versatile system and can be used in new developments or to upgrade existing buildings. Retrofitting BIPV railing to existing buildings has the advantage of maintaining safety standards while revitalizing the look-and-feel of a precinct. The company provides full installation services including pairing the base, installing the railing, and electrical connections.
Mitrex's Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) glass railing product, BIPV railing, is also fully customizable. Both the glass color and transparency level are decided by the designer. Mitrex offers several options available for the color and style of the metal frame.
Features & Benefits:
Seamless Solar Technology
New solar technology must balance three conditions: it must look good, be cost-effective, and installed swiftly. At Mitrex, they have developed Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) technology that meets all three challenging requirements. Mitrex's solar solutions transform walls and balcony railings into solar panels, extending a building’s energy-generating potential from the rooftops down to the vertical walls. Both the cladding and railings look good while generating clean, green power and in this way, allows architects, facade designers, building owners, and investors the opportunity to design-in and profit from solar technology without compromising their design vision.
Solar Panel Recycling Processes
Mitrex uses two types of solar technology: silicon and thin-film photovoltaics. These types can both be recycled through different industrial processes. Currently, silicon-based panels are more common, so the impact of recycling these panels is drastic, though the value of recycling thin-film-based cells is also important as their use becomes more common.
