After the former Clouth rubber goods factory in Cologne-Nippes was shut down in 2005, the site lay fallow for a few years. Now, a new urban quarter for 3,000 people is being built there with the aim to create one of Cologne's liveliest quarters.
The WA 14 building, is comprised of 60 residential units and is part of the Clouth Quarter. It aims - like the overall project - to turn the industrial wasteland into a liveable piece of the city. This combines the distinct design with historical features and the demand for high living quality.
