Marking the fiftieth anniversary of VEKA, this is a new company headquarters designed by Fritzen + Müller-Giebeler Architekten BDA in Sendenhorst Germany. Referred to as the 'Welcome Centre' this building incorporated a central reception area, offices, training, event, and meeting rooms. The contemporary outward-looking building embodies the future-focused corporate culture of VEKA making these values manifest for employees and visitors alike.
A great emphasis has been placed on a pleasant working atmosphere and contemporary ergonomics. The entire building is barrier-free and has a highly efficient heating and cooling system including ventilation with heat recovery and CO2 sensors, a photovoltaic system, and intelligent shading technology.
All 210 PVC windows on the upper floors are finished with VEKA SPECTRAL externally. The color of the facade design is accentuated by the umber finish, while the white of the profile surfaces comes into its own to support the bright interior concept.
The entire project is equipped with windows made from the VEKA SOFTLINE 82 MD profile system utilizing its high-performance profile with an innovative six-chamber geometry that can easily accommodate high glass loads - triple glazing is used throughout the Welcome Center. All plastic profiles are finished on one side with VEKA SPECTRAL surfaces. The ultra-matt, environmentally-resistant, and easy-to-clean surface in the color umber is characterized by durability, suitability for everyday use, and a pleasant feel.
