Taut – subtle design meets fine art of craftsmanship. Architect Bruno Taut was the inspiration for the name of the table. Throughout his life, he was fascinated by Asian culture with its restrained gracefulness and clear mind-set. This mentality served as the starting point for the design.
The objective was to create a light, well crafted, reduced and demountable table that is suited for a variety of life situations. The slightly flared round table legs bear the load like columns. The cross frames are braced with wooden wedges and ensure a firm footing. With their soft curves, the table edges serve as an aesthetic and tactile contrast. Here, traditional craftsmanship meets ingenious aesthetics.
The Taut table is characterized by minimal dimensions: The thin tabletop is stiffened by the transverse frames. Only by this construction is the plate thickness of 20 mm possible.
