More about this product

Valchromat from Investwood is a wood-fiber panel. The fibers are colored during the production process with organic colouring agents and chemically bound with a special resin which lends Valchromat unique physicochemical features.

The panel with the lowest formaldehyde emissions produced by Valbopan. It maintains its technical and physical characteristics (even the Moisture resistant capacity) despite having less formaldehyde. The approach to ecology and the preservation of human health, complying with the limits imposed by Chemikalien-Verbotsverordnung and with the limits of BREEAM International.

The production of Valchromat E05 panel is certified and allows the panel to be used in buildings that require BREEAM international certification.

Main Features

  • Moisture resistant
  • Higher density than MDF
  • Higher mechanical strength
  • Allows working in three dimensions – mechanization
  • Lower abrasion of tools

Appearance

Investwood produces Valchromat in different colours, sizes and thicknesses. On the surface small wood fibres that did not absorb the organic dye remain visible giving Valchromat a unique, natural look. Because of the tonal variation in wood, the main raw material in the wood-fiber panels, Valchromat can also show variations in colour.

Features

  • Moisture Resistant
Valchromat is classified as an MDF.HLS, it is a panel that can be used as a structural element to support loads in humid environments.
  • Density
It has a higher density than a normal MDF, being more homogeneous throughout the thickness.
  • Mechanical resistance
Greater resistance to flexion, elasticity modulus and internal cohesion, which allow its use in structural applications such as pavements supported by beams and structural walls.
  • Ease of Mechanizing / Milling
One of the mechanical characteristics that the panel has is the ease of being mechanized / milled without crumbling its interior.
  • Lower abrasion of tools
When cut, drilled or mechanized / milled it causes less tool wear.
  • Loose Fibers
When the panel is varnished or painted, the repulsion that arises after applying the finish is minimal.
  • Working the Material
Boards can be cut, drilled and machined with power or compressed air tools commonly used in carpentry or mechanical metalwork.
