BŌK Modern designed diverse sunshade systems with Leddy Maytum Stacy Architects that elevated a student dormitory at California College of the Arts. Not only do the sunshades have a striking visual appeal, but contribute to the overall solar optimization of the entire building: enabling this site to receive a Platinum level rating under the GreenPoints rating system.
This product application consisted of a typical horizontal and vertical sunshade installation through quick, floor-to-floor sunshades. Through the flexibility of colors and patterns, as well as customization, BŌK’s panels proved to be design-forward in collaboration with their partner’s ideas and longstanding relationship. The modern, visual starkness compliments the bright spectrum of building colors, resulting in playful warmth, branding, and urban identity.
