More about this product

Glass is a high-performance material from a thermal point of view, but can also be used in many technological devices. Technologically advanced glass has been installed on the rooftop of the Hotel Beaulac in Neuchâtel with the Vitrocsa system and SageGlass technology.

Darkening Glazing

Darkening glazing automatically adjusts depending on the amount of sunlight or by being activated at the desired time. The US patent for the invention was bought by Switzerland where the Hotel Beaulac is situated. This type of glass allows you to benefit from a darker glazed surface to better filter daylight. Ideal for providing better comfort inside a building, this solution works by integrating an integrated film directly during glass production.

Solar Glass

The principle of solar glass consists of integrating photovoltaic cells directly within the glazing. Some large-scale buildings are already equipped with this type of technology and can thus benefit from more photovoltaic power. This technology is set to develop over the next few years, and the possible dimensions of glazed surfaces with solar glass will expand. Especially considering the significant needs in terms of sustainable technological solutions.

Details

  • 13 panels : 35m x 2,4m = 84m2
  • 3 panels : 4,5m x 2,4m = 10.8m2
  • 3 panels : 5,0m x 2,2m = 11m2

Total = 105.8m2 of Vitrocsa

Vitrocsa has developed a system allowing the movement of Sage glass panes. Sage glass technology requires continuous connection in order to respond immediately to changes in the sun. The challenge was to integrate a mobile cabling system while maintaining the minimalist aspect of the Vitrocsa systems.
