Retractable Canopies - Round Hill Pines Resort | ShadeFX

Together with the U.S. Forest Service, Round Hill Pines Beach Resort underwent an upgrade to enhance the guest experience without disrupting the surrounding landscape. The new 3,000 sq. ft. facility overlooks the relaxing beach with new restrooms, retail space, commercial kitchen and an open-air pavilion equipped with retractable shades.

ShadeFX product specialist worked alongside Round Hill Pines’ architect, Brian Shinault, to design the hollow steel structure. Considerations such as rain management and canopy dimensions dictated the placement and heights of the crossbeams. Post-placement was a crucial element of the structure design to avoid encroachment of the property’s water easement.

Project Features

Upon completion of building the structure, our service team ventured out to the picturesque property to complete a site assessment and measure-up.

Once the fabric and powder coating were approved by the U.S. Forest Service, ShadeFX manufactured and installed four motorized canopies and rain gutters to provide nearly 1,500 sq. ft. of sun and rain protection. The Ferrari Concrete fabric provides additional water protection and also withstands the warmth from outdoor heaters.
