The Splash Lab designs and produces commercial washroom products and modular bathroom systems that have a positive impact on the lives of people and the planet.
The Ribbon Sensor Tap from The Splash Lab is engineered for performance and contemporary aesthetics. It delivers outstanding hand-washing experiences at any restroom scale. Designed by Sebastian Conran, the touch-free Ribbon Sensor Tap includes best in class digital proximity detection, IR activation with a 30-second security cut-off, a cassette nozzle for easy maintenance and a .5gpm water-saving aerator (0.35gpm also available).
The deck-mounted design provides an intuitive hand-washing experience at the sink. The water flow rate is set using an adjustable cassette system meaning that it is sure to conform to local environmental regulations to achieve optimal water savings.
|Standard water flow ||4 liters per minute |
|Maximum water flow ||6 liters per minute |
|Minimum water flow ||1.89 liters per minute |
The Ribbon Sensor Tap is durable and robust and has proved its worth in high-traffic restrooms in airports globally. It can be specified with mains or battery power. The award-winning Ribbon Sensor Tap has anti-rotation fittings to prevent movement of the head at the sink and is available in polished chrome or five brushed stainless steel PVD finishes.

The Ribbon Collection
The tap can be specified individually or as part of the Ribbon Collection trio; three deck-mounted, touch-free washroom products designed to speed up the user flow in the washroom and at the same time reduce water on the floor and the wastage of soap and paper. The collection was inspired by the rich heritage of British engineering, design, and craftsmanship in a collaboration between The Splash Lab and Sebastian Conran Associates. Cast in high-quality solid stainless steel, the Ribbon Collection is anti-splash, robust, and reliable.
The Ribbon Collection comes in five metallic PVD finishes in brushed stainless steel:
- Black (BK)
- Brass (BR)
- Bronze (BZ)
- Copper (CP)
- Satin (CS)
The Splash Lab's five finishes are achieved through a process known as Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD), which coats stainless steel with a titanium ion film to change its appearance. This environmentally superior process creates less waste than electro-plating or powder coating. The process also improves the overall durability of the finish by increasing its resistance to scratches, corrosion, and oxidation. A polished chrome finish is available upon request.
