More about this product
The Ancienne Belgique range of clay pavers from Vande Moortel have a natural colour and character with subtle colour shading. Available in seven colours, they are manufactured in accordance with Vande Moortel’s hand-made principle which gives a refined and stylish finish.
Vande Moortel’s ‘Hand-Made’ manufacturing process means that each brick is unique. Natural colour variations are achieved through a reduced firing process with varying levels of oxygen. The burn marks on the bricks are achieved by manually scattering coals over the bricks during the firing process. This manual production process gives the bricks rough contours and faint stripe patterns.
