CharacteristicsIntegrated tables, steel legs, customizable, part of a set of furniture
Meeting Point is not only a place where anonymous passengers converge; it is also a furniture piece created by Luca Nichetto for Sancal as part of a four-product tribute to the Turati station in Milan; each piece has an individual identity while still sharing a common inspiration and design language. An arrangement of different Meeting Points creates an elegant set in private residences, lobbies, breakout areas or other corporate spaces.
Meeting Point is a pouf system with integrated tables. The dominant shape is a circle, representing the station’s hole-like windows that open onto galleries and platforms. Upholstered seats with a diameter of 60 or 90 centimeters are accompanied by round wooden or metal tables of different sizes and finishes. The thin steel legs create an illusion of levitation as if the seats and tables are suspended in mid-air.
